Important Information Before Booking

Our doctors take an integrative approach to healthcare, focusing on long-term improvements through lifestyle, environmental, nutritional and medical support. If you are looking for a quick prescription or short-term solution, our approach may not be the right fit for you.

All new patients begin with a complimentary Integrative Medicine Enquiry Call with one of our Health Coaches. During this call, we will discuss your health concerns, explain our process and help determine the most appropriate next steps.

If you proceed, your Health Coach will gather a comprehensive health history, coordinate any recommended testing, and support you in implementing foundational changes before your Case Review Appointment with one of our doctors.

Please note that our doctors do not replace your regular GP. We recommend maintaining a relationship with your GP for routine healthcare, acute concerns, prescriptions, referrals and preventive care.

Appointment fees and Medicare rebates vary depending on the duration and complexity of your consultation.

Telehealth appointments are available; however, Medicare rebates for telehealth consultations require you to have attended a face-to-face appointment with one of our doctors within the previous 12 months.

Foundations Clinic provides integrative medical care and does not operate as a traditional general practice. As such, our approach to follow-up and recalls differs from that of a regular GP clinic. We review investigation results received by the clinic and, where appropriate, endeavour to contact patients to recommend follow-up. However, we also ask that patients contact us to arrange a review appointment once their requested pathology or imaging has been completed. This allows your treating clinician to interpret your results in the context of your overall health and discuss any recommended next steps. If you have not heard from us and your results are available, please contact the clinic to arrange a follow-up appointment.

If you have concerns about new, worsening or urgent symptoms, or require acute medical care, please seek prompt assessment from your regular GP or your nearest emergency department.

During this complimentary call, Leah will explain our clinic's process, discuss your health goals, and outline the care options available through our doctors and the Foundations Clinic team.

Follow Up Appointments with Integrative GP
Our Integrative Medicine appointments involve a significant amount of time and preparation other than the time you spend with your doctor in the consultation room. Your practitioner spends additional time outside your appointment reviewing your medical history, previous results, pathology and functional testing, researching complex aspects of your case and developing a personalised treatment plan.
Our doctors have also undertaken additional education and ongoing professional development in integrative medicine beyond their general medical training, allowing them to take a more comprehensive approach to complex and chronic health concerns.
Our fees reflect the extended consultation times, complexity of care, additional work undertaken outside your appointment, and the advanced training required to provide this level of personalised care.

You can schedule all follow-up appointments with Dr Chloe through AutoMed and appointments with Dr Ravi by calling the clinic or emailing our administration team. To ensure you get your preferred time and date, we recommend booking your appointments in advance.​

Acupuncture
90 Minute Initial Acupuncture Consult
Your initial consultation will last approximately 90 Minutes, providing ample time to discuss your symptoms, goals, medical history, lifestyle, and environment. During the session, Brendan may examine your tongue, assess your pulse, conduct muscle strength tests, and evaluate your joint mobility. Following this assessment, he will discuss your Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) diagnosis and recommend appropriate acupuncture techniques.
Since the effects of acupuncture are cumulative, a series of treatments is usually suggested. The number and frequency of sessions will be tailored to your individual needs.
